PEEP SHOW - NO TIPPING PLEASE! Written by Eddie

May 1990 Holland America

We arrived in Miami a day before our 10 day Southern Caribbean cruise on HAL. We headed to the Westin Rseort in Miami Beach where we would meet my parents and go out to dinner. (My parents Rio and Kitty, don't fly so when we cruise with them they always drive to the port.) They had their motor home parked in the hotel parking lot when we arrived. We stopped in to say hello and then checked in and headed to our room. The clerk said that she would have a bell hop bring our luggage up to our room.

Meanwhile my parents stopped at the front desk to ask about a nice restaurant. They got in a long conversation and even introduced themselves as the “Score's” just before they headed out to their motor home. The bellhop heard the conversation and assumed that they were the “Scores” that were staying in the hotel. Oops!

We were tired and needed to freshen up a bit before dinner. Christine stripped down and was about to head to the shower. The bellhop used his pass key to open our door. Thinking he was delivering the luggage to an empty room, the bellhop barged in with his arms full of luggage. You can imagine the shocked looks on both Christine's and the bellhop's faces as they met face to face. Next I watched Christine's legs disappear behind the bed as she dove for cover. The door slammed as the bellhop step back into the hallway in utter shock.
Christine shot daggers from her eyes at me as I said, “Oh good, I don't have to give him a tip.” I regret that comment to this day!
